Everyone just hang in there.

Dropped out of the Snowflake Meme apparently and now I'm having trouble blogging at all. I approach everything with great wariness and sometimes I don't feel like giving up but I feel like I've given up. When these decisions get made without you it can take all your effort just to find the right person to set it straight.

I still read a poem every evening. Sometimes I forget it as soon as I've spoken its final word. Last night I memorized it, and I thought of you, flist, and I wanted to share it.

The Orange by Wendy Cope
At lunchtime I bought a huge orange—
The size of it made us all laugh.
I peeled it and shared it with Robert and Dave—
They got quarters and I got a half.

And that orange, it made me so happy,
As ordinary things often do
Just lately. The shopping. A walk in the park.
This is peace and contentment. It's new.

The rest of the day was quite easy.
I did all the jobs on my list
And enjoyed them and had some time over.
I love you. I'm glad I exist.
