What to do? Well, I have a lot of the issues digitally, so it wasn't too hard to cut out some panels to share with you. These contain SPOILERS. Very big SPOILERS. If gore and sex don't bother you and you're planning on reading the series, or even curious about it, don't read this. Instead go here and read the first issue for free so you know if you want to continue.
If you don't want to risk it, here's some summary, some introduction, and a lot of single/double panels as illustration, all safe to look at without your partner looking over your shoulder and wondering if you're sick. Not much I could do about the language, though. All of the characters have pretty dirty mouths.
Once again: SPOILERS AHEAD!
The story revolves around the marriage of two characters, Marko and Alana, and their baby daughter.
Alana was a rather apathetic soldier for her home planet, Landfall.
She was more interested in reading trashy romance novels than fighting.
On the whole, though, she's a badass, especially when it comes to defending the people she loves.
Marko was a soldier too, but he came from Landfall's moon, Wreath.
He grew up to be a skilled warrior, but after he had seen a few battles he began to have doubts.
He's a badass too, but he's made a vow to never kill again.
Their baby, Hazel, narrates, making the whole thing a retrospective from her point of view.
Landfall, where all the natives have wings, is a wealthy planet with extremely advanced technology.
Wreath, where all the natives have horns, has a culture based on their use of magic.
Trouble is, the two worlds are enemies, and the battle between them has been raging across the entire solar system for so long that nobody remembers when it began.
The idea of Marko and Alana falling in love is unthinkable to both sides.
A child with both wings and horns would be considered an abomination, if anyone had ever heard of one.
Her parents have a different perspective.
That's the basic premise. In another entry I'll introduce you to some of the secondary characters, and put up a few of my favorite sequences. Let me know if you're enjoying this! There's nothing I like more than sharing the Saga love.
